Is the table of content can rank your website on google?

Hi,

I have read somewhere on the internet that a linked Table of Contents can help Google better understand your page’s content. But from what I have learned, the table of content is used as an effective content marketing strategy i.e. hub and spoke. Is it ok to implement it on our websites?

Any suggestions?
