An agency I am working with wants to add some keywords in metadata description but these words all start with a '#' , such as #hashtag, as they are being used in a social media campaign. Outside of whether these keywords are being used in the page content, is there any reason not to include them in the meta description - just feels a bit spammy to me.
Can we add #hashtag in meta description as keywords?
